Cricket
This term for P.E we have been doing cricket with Jonty.
We have learnt these skills: bowling, batting, catching, fielding (spreading out, throw to our team members instead of running with the ball), wicket-keeping, throwing, running to the ball
We felt successful when we did a good hit. It was difficult to get used to swinging the cricket bat correctly. We had to use our arm to aim towards the wickets when we were bowling. When we were bowling we tried to keep our arms close to our ear as our arm comes around.
We had a fun time, especially with Jonty helping us to improve our cricketing skills! Learning about cricket was a good experience.

ICT Focus for Term One
Our focus during our ICT room slot this term is using Microsoft Publisher to create presentations. So far we have created a cover page for our Published Work Folders, name labels for our Writing Wall, bag hooks and tote trays. At the moment we are working on a poster that shows one way children can be 'better than before' at school. The featured work is by Cola.
